So Big

Lucas is getting big.  He can say 20-30 50-60 words clearly and uses actions/codes for many others.  And wow... I think terrible twos hit us early with this one.   Being over 30 pounds I can't even hold him when he throws a tantrum.  But boy oh boy is he entertaining! When he's not frustrated with something we have so much fun building with blocks, playing trains, chasing each other, tossing balls of all sizes, cooking, and reading together.

He is also so thoughtful.  My grandmother, who is visiting us from Ukraine has some hip and leg pain which makes it hard for her to zip one of her boots.  Every time we go out she asks my mom, sister, or me to help her with it.  Last time, she had just put her boots on when Lucas ran over to my mom, took her hand and took her to my grandmother.  En route he pointed to the his foot and said "help Stasya" (grandma's name is Stasya).  She was so touched that she has already told the story about a dozen times (mostly to us, who were all present :)

Big, fun, thoughtful, and so handsome -- like his dad.
