4 Months Already!

My baby girl is four months old today!  These last four months went by fast for me.  When Lucas was born, by this time I felt like I have had a baby my whole life.  Now, I can't believe how fast the time flew.

She is so smiley and incredibly sweet.  She loves to suck on her hand and her thumb, if she can sneak it in her mouth when I'm not looking.  She is very talkative already and loves it when people talk to her.  Although during the day she will often fall asleep on her own, when it's time to go to sleep for the night, she does not let us lay her down.  The last several days we tried laying her down for FIVE consecutive hours!  As soon as she is in her own bed, she starts to become restless and cries, no matter how asleep she was in our arms just a minute before.  She loves to kick her little legs and is starting to grab things.  Today I walked into the pantry with her and a few minutes after we were out I noticed that she was holding the handle of a cloth shopping sack.  She loves her baths.  She doesn't mind tummy time.  I love her little snore when she is sleeping.  I absolutely love her chubby cheeks.  I absolutely love her.

Yesterday was pretty ordinary.  At one moment, Anya was in my arms and Lucas grabbed me by the hand and led me to his train table to show me something.  At that moment, I was totally overwhelmed by this feeling: I love LOVE being their mama.  I am very lucky, blessed, whatever you want to call it.  I'm not taking a single day with them for granted.
