Lucas has always loved to "brush his teeth." I hear it's not uncommon for babies to enjoy sucking on a toothbrush (I cannot relate). When Lucas turned about 18 months, we decided to start putting a tiny, barely visible, amount of toothpaste on his toothbrush. Because our city water doesn't have Flouride in it, Lucas' pediatrician prescribed him daily fouride drops. We always forgot to give it to him, so instead, we decided to brush his teeth with adult toothpaste. Plus, I heard of kids who love to eat the kids' stuff because it tastes like candy and then never wanting to brush their teeth when they graduate to the minty stuff.
The last few months we have been catching Lucas sucking on tubes of toothpaste. No matter where we put it, he seems to get to it. We were at our neighbor's house and all the little girls kicked Lucas out of their "tea party". I couldn't find him for a minute. Finally I found him in the master bedroom eating our neighbors' toothpaste!
Last week, after I put Anya down for a nap, I caught the kid red handed again. This time he ate a lot. The tube was almost empty. I called poison control. Poison control people had me read the label of the toothpaste and concluded that it was pretty harmless, even if he ate half of the tube. "You may see some vomiting, but don't be alarmed."

This one- hilarious!
Anya's- she looks so cute in that dress it's starting to make me wonder if I need one more girl... I should probably stop reading your blog until either me or Greg gets fixed :p
Mandee -- I think that dress is from your girls, right? It is soooo cute, my favorite! Zach had to sqeeze her in it for Easter because it's too small now. I just think it's perfecr and Anya looks cute in yellow. Thanks for giving it to us!
And don't be crazy! Give it a year, then re-evaluate :)
